Debra Fricke - Co-chair
I am a licensed day care provider in Plano. I decided to change careers and leave the corporate world to do what I love, which is taking care of infants and little children. I teach and encourage my little ones with curriculum from Frog Street Press. I was a Preschool Presenter for 2009 and 2010 in Frog Street Press Annual Conference. I look forward to working with our PICK group, as co-chair elect. I have worked as Speaker Coordinator in the second half of 2009 and co-chair elect in 2010. I have been married for 35 years and have one grown daughter. I have 2 teenage grandchildren who are very active in sports and my husband and I make sure not to miss any games or school events.

Stephanie Vaughan - Sign-In Coordinator
Stephanie Vaughan has been providing childcare in Allen, Texas for 16 years. She has been a member of PICK since 2003. Stephanie has been married to her husband, Danny, for 22 years and they have 2 daughters are 20 and 16 years of age. She has a registered childcare home and specializes in caring for infants through the preschool age.

Katie Fuqua - Co-Chair Elect
I believe early childhood education is a child's most important education. My husband and I are licensed childcare providers and own Family Connections Childcare and Preschool in Allen. I am a Texas-certified teacher and have been in the field of early childhood education for 9 years. My experience has come from every age group, from infants to first graders. This is my third year as a member of PICK.

Megan Martin - Calling Committee
I have been a member of P.I.C.K. of North Texas since 2007. I began providing childcare in my home after my youngest daughter began school in 2005. I originally opened as a listed home and decided to become a registered provider in 2008.

My husband Jimmy and I have five children and have lived in Allen since 1998. We attend Allen Heights Baptist Church where we have been active in the preschool department and children’s activities.

Jetza Velazquez - Calling Committee
I am a friendly and bilingual (Spanish-English) Preschool Montessori Teacher. I had worked in the city of Farmers Branch for over 7 years as the lead Teacher in the Toddler and Pre school classrooms. Currently I am the lead Teacher and Director of my Licensed Home Program for the past 3 years: "Nido Montessori Program" in Plano. In our environment my assistant and I develop a nurturing and productive daily routine for children 2 years and up to 4 years old, which not only teaches care for their self's, and their environments but the gift of a second language. I been married for over 9 years and I am the mother of a beautiful preteen girl and a very active toddler.

Jami Landers - Speaker Coordinator
Jami Landers has been a member of PICK since 2001. She has been a registered childcare provider in Allen since 1995. She married her husband Dave in 1986 and they have 3 children ages 22, 20 and 18. Jami is a Christian and strives to provide a family oriented environment so that your child feels her home is their home.
